Unstoppable Faith
Matthew 17:20. …Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Jesus was not instructing His Disciples to speak to a literal mountain, He exaggerated to illustrate the power of faith.
Jesus used the mustard seed as a point of reference, because the mustard seed will grow in almost any environment, it is a very tough plant. You can plant mustard seeds in very rocky areas and because a mustard seed is very strong, when it begins to take root and then spring up, it will literally push stones out of its way as it grows.
Jesus literally said to His Disciples, your faith must be tough and resilient like the mustard seed in pushing every obstacle out of your way that is sent to hinder, abort, frustrate God's purposes for your life or to destroy you completely.
Jesus’ wanted His disciples to have faith that was living inside of them, faith that acted like a grain of mustard seed, that was strong enough to move mountains of sickness; financial hardships; or demonic forces out of the way.
Living by faith is God’s will for the Church and the Believer. Romans 10:17 says, Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Mark 11:24. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Every Christian must live according to 2 Corinthians 5:7. For we walk by faith, not by sight. To live by this scripture means that you are not looking at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18.
Prayer: Father I thank you for Your word that strengthens my faith and empowers it to grow daily. I put my faith in You to do all that I asked You for according to Your word and Your will for my life. In Jesus name I pray Amen!
