ALL HAIL KING JESUS
This is the time of year when we focus on the coming of Christ into the world. For some it is the season of Advent. The Prophetic Scriptures in the Old Testament spoke of a coming Messiah that would deliver Israel from their enemies and bring them Redemption. But there's a bigger picture. Not only will He ultimately deliver Israel from their enemies but He will also go to the Cross and pay the penalty for the sins of the world.
Isaiah 53 gives us powerful insight into the Redemptive plan of God for the world. Jesus the Christ would become the sin-bearer, the Lamb of God, who would take away the sin of the world through His vicarious death on Calvary'sCross. So the message of the season is that God sent His only Son into the world "that He might save His people from their sins"(Matt. 1:21).
This was fulfilled over two thousand years ago. Salvation has now become available through Jesus Christ to the entire human race. But the Scriptures also prophesied that Jesus will come again in Glory for His Saints and will reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As Christians we patiently await His second coming. Isaiah 53: Matthew 1:21,23; 1.Thes.1:10.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, rejoicing in the gift of Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for sending Him into the world to be our Savior, fulfilling Your promise to save us from our sins. We honor the name of Jesus, knowing that through Him we find forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life. Lord, as we reflect on the birth of Jesus, we remember His divine purpose — to bring light to the darkness, to heal the broken, and to restore all that is lost. May His name be glorified in our lives, and may His love and grace transform us daily. We pray that the power of His salvation will continue to reach every heart, bringing peace, hope, and renewal to those in need. Help us to walk in His example, sharing His love and truth with all those we encounter. In the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior, we pray. Amen.
